These large Opalite teardrop earrings are inspired by those worn in some portraits painted in the 18th Century by Elisabeth Vigee-lebrun. This was a style that started in the 1780s and continues into the Victorian period and beyond!
Opalite is made from glass and these beautiful beads have wonderful flashes of blue and gold in a semi-opaque milky stone. They are quite eye-catching. They are also quite large with the stones measuring 30mm, which is about 1.25 inches long. They make lovely statement earrings!
These are shown here on Nickel-free gold-plated hoop findings. They are also available in Silver, Antique Silver, or Antique Gold and as clip-ons as well!
